ChatGPT Voice Now Integrated Directly in Chat

ChatGPT Voice Now Integrated Directly in Chat

OpenAI has announced a new enhancement: users can now access voice chat, or GPT Voice, directly within chat without having to switch to a separate interface.

For those unaware or unfamiliar with this feature, previously, users who wanted to talk to ChatGPT had to navigate to a dedicated screen with a blue circle animation.

However, this feature had a limitation: users could only hear ChatGPT's responses without seeing the text.

With this update, the experience is more natural, eliminating the need to navigate to different pages. Everything is integrated, allowing users to easily switch between voice and text within a single conversation. However, to end a voice session and return to text mode, users still need to press the on-screen "end" button.

Interestingly, unlike before, ChatGPT responses will also appear directly on the screen, allowing users to easily see the context and text responses.

The old option is still available!

If you prefer the old option, don't worry, the old option with separate mode is still available, but you have to activate it manually from the Settings > Voice Mode page.

With this change, it's safe to say that with direct integration into Chat, ChatGPT Voice is now more practical and flexible. Users can't only hear ChatGPT responses but also see text and visuals simultaneously. This clearly makes conversations more interactive and efficient.
